Any way to brighten the night side of the moon?
Trying to show the Earth-Moon-Sun positions for the upcoming eclipse from a space view. When the moon is in position for the eclipse it becomes just a black spot. Is there a way to brighten it a little?

Planetfx to turn it off or moon.planetfx gamma [value], values <1 will make it brighter.
That only works for the lit side of the moon. The dark side still stays dark.
I have used that command in Sky Tonight presentations.
Hej,
I modified the default moon module to have a night side. Now "moon.planetfx night factor 0.2" would effect brightness of that texture on the night side.
The relevant changes are in the ds.conf file and moon.pfx file.
Also, I removed the .bsp file from this module for size reasons, you can copy them over from the default module.
One last thing: this will only be an image. If you want the default tilesets then you can make a copy of the tileset as well and add it to the moon. You have to set Night=true in the .conf for the tileset though. Take a look at Black_Marble.conf (the night side tileset for Earth which is not loaded by default)
moon.zip
Let us know how that goes.

Thank you Jawad. Your module helps a great deal.
I like that I can adjust the amount of shadow and not just simply turn it off.
