Field of View of the Night Sky as a 3d Object
Hi there,
As part of a upcoming show I was planning to show why we see different constellations at different times of year by ideally having a translucent 3D cone showing your field of view from a given location on earth extending up into space (then moving through time to see how this changes over say 6 months) - any one tried/succeeded at doing this or something similar?

Hi Alex,
I used the attached module for a very similar purpose on a couple of occasions. You'd have to edit the Cone_pos.conf file for latitude and longitude of your viewing location. The circles represent 30 and 60 degrees field of view from zenith.
