Animating a Layerset in Producer

ActiveFireTimelineAssets.zip

Recently I asked about animating the opacity of layers in Producer. Based on the feedback I was given, I used the following steps to create a timeline, but I am still having some problems.

1. I created locally stored tilesets of the layers I wanted.

2. I loaded them into a newly started session of Uniview in the order that I wanted.

3. Saved the layers as a layerset.

4. Opened Producer and used the system.loadlayerset Earth C:\pathname command to Theater to load the layerset.

Everything was okay up to that point. Once the layerset was loaded via Producer, I found that I could only add control for 7 of the 12 layers in the layerset. Also, I had saved the layerset with the opacity levels of all 12 layers to 0 so that they would not pop on when loaded, but layers 8 to 12 all came on at 100 percent.

I have included the tilesets of the individual layers, the layerset that contains all 12 layers, and the timeline as it is now.

Thanks.

The problem is a limitation in Producer. It can by default only use 7 layers.

I have created an updated vup.zip file: vup.zip

Copy that file to C:\Users\AVImagineering\SCISS\Uniview Theater 1.5.0.153\data\vup.zip

This should allow you to add more layers in Producer, which should also fix the problem of layers 8 to 12 being at 100 percent opacity.

That does the trick.

Thanks.
